Here’s why: In addition to the background color of the splash screen, you can easily create a full-screen splash screen that is responsive on all device sizes in all variations, and that complies with the new splash screen guidelines since iOS 14 (Apple abolished UILaunchImages with iOS 13; see https://developer.apple.com/documentation/bundleresources/information_property_list/uilaunchimages). The video shows how to do it easily 🙂 Make sure to use GIF format (animated or static). You can use any GIF image resolution as long the width dimension equals the height dimension (e.g., 128px*128px, 512px*512px, or 1024px*1024px).
