To fix errors related to “external_file_lib_dex_archives”, just delete the ‘.gradle’ directory in the project and build directory inside the ‘app’ module. Perform “Clean Project” and “Rebuild Project” in Android Studio afterwards. Go to the Build drop-down menu in the menu bar. You can see the Rebuild Project under the Clean Project. If you can’t find Rebuild Project, you can use Clean Project instead. This will solve the issue.
