The cost table
| Item | Cost | Type | Required? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple Developer Program | $99 / year | Recurring | Yes, for the App Store |
| Google Play Console | $25 once | One-time | Yes, for Google Play |

| WebViewGold for Android | $109 | One-time, free updates | Yes, for the Android app |
| WebViewGold Cloud Builder | Paid add-on, free trial | Subscription | Only if you want to skip Xcode / Android Studio or have no Mac |
| Full Service (we build and submit) | $349 | One-time | Optional alternative to doing it yourself |
| Custom domain | $10–20 / year | Recurring | Strongly recommended |
| Your builder's hosting plan | Varies (often needed for a custom domain and badge removal) | Recurring | Usually yes |
| Push service (OneSignal / Pushwoosh) | Free tier for most apps | Recurring above free tier | Optional |
| RevenueCat (in-app purchases) | Free up to a monthly revenue threshold | Percentage above | Only with IAP; also needs the Extended License |
| Store commission on IAP | 15% (small business tiers) to 30% | Per transaction | Only on in-app purchases |
A realistic first year
Do it yourself, both stores: $99 + $25 + $109 + $109 = $342 plus your domain and builder plan. Without a Mac: add the Cloud Builder subscription for the months you build in. Hands-off: $99 + $25 + $349 Full Service (includes the licenses and the work) plus domain and builder plan.
Compare that with native rewrites (weeks of work or an agency quote) or hosted wrapper subscriptions billed monthly per app. Owning the WebViewGold projects means the second year costs you Apple's $99 and your domain.
Where people overspend
- Buying a Mac just for one build: a cloud Mac rental or the Cloud Builder is cheaper for a single project.
- Paying a publishing service that does not use your own developer account: you lose control of the listing.
- Monthly wrapper platforms for side projects that have not earned anything yet.
- Paid screenshot tools: the Simulator makes the right sizes for free.
Frequently asked questions
Is WebViewGold a subscription?
No. Each platform license is a one-time payment with free updates. The optional Cloud Builder add-on is the only subscription in the list.
Do I need the Extended License?
Only if your app charges users through in-app purchases or otherwise requires users to pay inside the app. Free apps and apps with purchases on the web use the Regular License.
What does the approval guarantee cost?
Nothing. It is included: if Apple or Google reject the WebViewGold-based app for a non-content reason, you can claim a refund within 14 days of purchase.
