Enrollment steps
Use the Apple Developer app on an iPhone for the fastest individual enrollment.
Prepare your Apple ID
Enable two-factor authentication and make sure the name on the account matches your ID document.
Enroll
Open the Apple Developer app (or developer.apple.com/programs), choose Individual or Organization, scan your ID when asked, pay the $99 fee.
Organizations: get a D-U-N-S number first
Dun & Bradstreet issues it for free; Apple can request it for you. Make sure company name and address match your registration exactly.
Wait for approval, then accept agreements
In App Store Connect accept the Paid Apps agreement (required for in-app purchases) and enter banking and tax information if you will sell anything.
Create the app record
App Store Connect → My Apps → +: name, bundle ID (matches your WebViewGold project), SKU, primary language. Now you can upload builds.
What to do while you wait
- Build the app with WebViewGold and test it in the iOS Simulator or on your own iPhone (a free Apple ID can sign builds for your own device for a week).
- Prepare screenshots, description, keywords and the privacy policy (see the listing guide).
- Set up the Google Play account in parallel (see the Play Console guide).
- Run the readiness check and fix what it finds.
Frequently asked questions
Can I publish under someone else's developer account?
You can be added to an organization account as a team member, or use a publishing service that submits under your own account. Publishing a client app under your personal account is against Apple's rules; the app must be offered by the entity responsible for it.
Is the $99 fee refundable?
Generally not once the membership is active. Apple waives the fee for some nonprofits, educational institutions and government entities in eligible countries.
Do I need the membership for TestFlight?
Yes. TestFlight distribution requires the paid program. Simulator and personal-device testing work with a free Apple ID.
