Claude Code → iOS + Android

Publish your Claude Code app in the App Store and on Google Play

One published Claude Code URL, two native apps. This overview compares what Apple and Google ask for, lists the Claude Code-specific details, and links to the detailed iOS and Android walkthroughs.

How it works

Publish in Claude Code

Push the project to GitHub and deploy with Vercel, Netlify or Cloudflare Pages (ask Claude Code to set up the deployment). A single-file artifact can be exported and hosted the same way. Use the deployment URL or your domain in WebViewGold.

Wrap with WebViewGold

Insert the URL into WebViewGold for iOS and WebViewGold for Android, set name, icon and splash screen, switch on the native features you want. No coding.

Submit with a guarantee

App Store & Google Play approval guarantee – or your money back within 14 days. 96.4% of all WebViewGold apps get approved by the review teams on the first attempt.

The plan for Claude Code apps

Do iOS and Android in parallel: both apps use the same URL and the same settings.

  1. Publish your Claude Code app on your own domain

Add your domain in the hosting provider's settings and set the DNS records. Artifact preview links and localhost are not production URLs. Deploy first.

  2. Fix the store blockers once

Privacy policy page, account deletion, responsive layout down to 320 px, no builder badges, HTTPS everywhere. Run the free readiness check to see what is missing.

  3. Configure WebViewGold for iOS and Android

Paste the URL, set app name, icon and splash screen in Config.swift and Config.java or in the Cloud Builder. Enable push notifications and the features you need.

  4. Build both apps

Xcode and Android Studio, or the Cloud Builder in the browser for both. The Cloud Builder also uploads to App Store Connect and the Play Console.

  5. Create both listings and submit

Same screenshots (per device size), same description, same privacy policy URL. Start the Google Play closed test the same day you submit to Apple so both reviews run in parallel.

Claude Code specifics

Stack

Any web stack; artifacts are single-file React or HTML apps, Claude Code projects are typically Next.js, Vite or SvelteKit

Authentication

Whatever you built: Supabase, Clerk, Auth.js, Firebase. Google and Facebook logins need the WebViewGold Social Login Helper inside the app; Sign in with Apple is handled automatically.

Payments

Stripe. Digital goods sold inside the apps go through In-App Purchase / Google Play Billing (RevenueCat); physical goods keep your web checkout.

Domain

Default: yourproject.vercel.app, yourproject.pages.dev or your own domain. Add your domain in the hosting provider's settings and set the DNS records.

Updates

Deploy and the app updates instantly.

Badge

No builder badge to remove.

Store-readiness prompt

Paste into Claude Code, review the changes, publish.

Audit and prepare this web app for publishing as a native iOS and Android app (it will run inside the WebViewGold native WebView wrapper):
1. Ensure a meta viewport tag, no horizontal overflow from 320px to 1024px, 44px tap targets and safe-area-inset padding on fixed headers/footers.
2. Add /privacy and /terms pages linked from the footer.
3. Add a "Delete account" action in settings that removes the user's data and auth record with confirmation.
4. Remove "Download our app" banners and external promotional links in the main navigation.
5. Add error boundaries and retry states for failed requests.
6. Set the <title> to the app name (max 30 characters) and a meta description.
7. Summarize what changed and what I still need to do manually.

Native features on both platforms

Documented for iOS and Android; the JavaScript calls are identical on both platforms.

Frequently asked questions

How do I turn a Claude Code project into an App Store app?

Deploy it to a public HTTPS URL, insert that URL into WebViewGold for iOS, build with Xcode or the Cloud Builder and submit via App Store Connect. The Android app uses the same URL with WebViewGold for Android.

Can I publish a Claude artifact as an app?

Yes, once it is hosted on a permanent HTTPS URL (export the artifact and deploy the file). For anything beyond a single screen, build it as a project so you can add a privacy page and real navigation.

Can Claude Code add native features through WebViewGold?

Yes. Point it to the WebViewGold documentation: the JavaScript bridge is plain URL schemes and JavaScript variables, so the agent can integrate push, haptics, sharing or biometric login in minutes.

Should I launch on iOS and Android at the same time?

Yes, if you can. Both apps use the same web app, so the extra work is one more license and one more listing. Start the Google Play closed test early: for new personal accounts it takes 14 days before production is available.

Do I need two WebViewGold licenses?

Yes, one for iOS and one for Android. Each is a one-time payment with free updates, and the Full Service package covers both if you prefer our team to do everything.
