Native dialog on iOS
rateapp:// shows Apple's SKStoreReviewController prompt. Apple limits how often it appears (about three times a year per user), so it is silent on some calls by design.
Bolt + ratings
Ratings decide whether a store listing converts. WebViewGold lets your Bolt app show the native rating dialog (<code>rateapp://</code>) exactly when a user is happy: after a completed order, a finished workout, a saved project. You decide the moment in your web app; the native part is one call.
From $109 one-time per platform, or let our team do it all from $698.
rateapp:// shows Apple's SKStoreReviewController prompt. Apple limits how often it appears (about three times a year per user), so it is silent on some calls by design.
The same call shows a "Rate this app" dialog that opens your Play Store page (set RATE_MY_APP_URL in Config.java). Optionally WebViewGold asks automatically after N days and launches.
Ask "Enjoying the app?" in your Bolt UI first; send happy users to rateapp:// and unhappy ones to your feedback form in Supabase, Firebase or your own API.
Paste this into Bolt to implement the web-app side. Review the result, publish, then test inside the WebViewGold app.
Add an in-app rating prompt that only runs inside our native mobile app (navigator.userAgent contains "WebViewGold"). Create src/lib/rating.ts with maybeAskForRating(): it checks a rating_prompted_at field on the user's profile in Supabase; if it is empty and the user has at least two completed orders, it sets window.location.href to 'rateapp://' and writes the timestamp. Call it 1.5 seconds after the order confirmation screen renders, never after an error. Add a "Rate this app" link in Settings that goes to APP_STORE_URL on iOS and PLAY_STORE_URL on Android (environment variables) and is hidden in the browser. Do not add a pop-up asking "Do you like the app?" first.

My iOS WebView is finally approved. Thanks!!
About 20 minutes.
Completed purchase, third successful use, finished task. Never on first launch, never after an error.
A small card in your web app: "Enjoying the app? Rate us" with Yes / Not really. Store the answer in Supabase, Firebase or your own API so you ask once.
On Yes, navigate to rateapp:// (only inside the app). On "Not really", open your feedback form.
iOS: showcustomrateappdialog and ratemyappurl for a dialog that always appears and links to your store page. Android: RATE_MY_APP_URL, optional SHOW_RATE_DIALOG with days and launches thresholds.
Watch ratings in App Store Connect and the Play Console; adjust the moment if the volume is low.
Apple rate-limits the native prompt per user and year and also suppresses it during development. Use the custom dialog option if you need a guaranteed link to the store page.
Yes. Your web app decides who sees the pre-prompt; the native call is only made for the users you choose.
Apple does not display the native prompt in TestFlight builds; test the flow logic there and the real prompt in the App Store version.
Same result, different amount of work on your side. All three come with the approval guarantee and 24/7 human support.
