Links ending in .pdf, .mp3, .mp4, .wav, .epub, .docx, .pkpass and more are downloaded and opened with the native viewer or share sheet. Invoices, tickets, exports from Your own API routes, serverless functions or Supabase: all fine.
Claude Code + files
A plain WebView silently ignores a PDF download and shows a bare file picker. WebViewGold saves images to the camera roll (<code>savethisimage://?url=…</code>), downloads PDFs, audio, ePub and Office files, and opens the native camera or gallery for every <code><input type="file"></code> in your Claude Code app.
From $109 one-time per platform, or let our team do it all from $698.

Navigate to savethisimage://?url=https://…/photo.jpg and the image lands in the user's Photos app. Great for generated images, certificates and QR codes.
Every file input in your Claude Code app opens the native picker with camera, gallery and files. Use accept="image/*" and capture="environment" to go straight to the camera.
Paste this into Claude Code to implement the web-app side. Review the result, publish, then test inside the WebViewGold app.
This web app runs inside the WebViewGold native wrapper. Fix file handling: 1) every route that returns a generated file must send Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="name.ext" with the real extension; 2) remove target="_blank" and window.open from download links and use plain anchors; 3) add saveImage(url) to lib/native.ts that navigates to 'savethisimage://?url=' + encodeURIComponent(url) when navigator.userAgent contains "WebViewGold", otherwise triggers a normal download; 4) give every file input accept and capture attributes and a client-side size check with a clear message; 5) add tests for the headers and run curl -I against the dev server to confirm. Summarize the changes and record the conventions in CLAUDE.md.

My iOS WebView is finally approved. Thanks!!
Mostly checking that your web app plays along.
PDFs and files should be served with a correct Content-Type and, where you want a download instead of inline display, Content-Disposition. Signed URLs from Your own API routes, serverless functions or Supabase storage work.
No custom upload widgets that depend on drag and drop only. A standard <input type="file"> (multiple allowed) is what the native picker hooks into.
Camera and photo library usage descriptions in the WebViewGold Xcode project (and the Cloud Builder fields) must say what the app does with photos ("to upload a profile picture").
Compress images client-side before uploading when possible (most Claude Code stacks have a helper for it) and show progress; mobile connections are slower than your desk.
Upload from the camera and from the gallery, download a PDF and an image, on iOS and Android. Each uses a slightly different system dialog.
WebViews render pages; they have no download manager unless the native app adds one. WebViewGold adds the downloader so links behave like users expect.
Yes, with a multiple attribute on the file input the native picker allows multi-select on both platforms.
Only the purpose strings and, if you store photos, the matching App Privacy / Data safety answers. No special review process.
Same result, different amount of work on your side. All three come with the approval guarantee and 24/7 human support.
