Example: from Hostinger Horizons project to approved app

Say you built an ordering and loyalty app for a neighborhood bakery with Horizons: customers browse today's bread, order for pickup, pay with Stripe and collect stamps. You publish it on the bakery's domain from your Hostinger plan and wrap it with WebViewGold; at the counter, customers scan a QR code with the native scanner (qrcode://), which opens the stamp page for that visit. Pickup orders are physical goods, so Stripe stays in both apps. A push at 7 a.m. announces when the sourdough comes out of the oven, which gives regulars a reason to keep the app. Both stores approve it, and changes to the menu are one Publish in Horizons away.

Your first week after launch

  • Update the menu, prices and opening hours in Horizons; the app shows the changes on next launch.
  • Send pushes at moments that match the business (fresh batch, sold out, holiday hours) and keep them rare.
  • Mention the app on receipts and at the counter; installs from regulars are what get a local app going.
  • Change the App Store promotional text for seasonal offers; it does not need a new version or review.
  • Ask for a rating with rateapp:// after a completed pickup order.

Store-readiness prompt

Paste into Hostinger Horizons, review the changes, publish.

Prompt to paste into Horizons
Prepare this app for publishing as a native iOS and Android app (it will run inside a native WebView wrapper): add /privacy and /terms pages linked from the footer; add a "Delete my account" action with confirmation; make all pages responsive from 320px to tablet widths with 44px tap targets; remove external promotional links and "Download our app" banners; add a retry state for failed requests; set the title to the app name (max 30 characters).

Frequently asked questions

Can a Hostinger Horizons app go into the App Store?

Yes. Publish it on your domain, insert the URL into WebViewGold for iOS and submit the build; the same URL powers the Android app.

Should I use the Horizons built-in backend or Supabase for an app?

Both work inside WebViewGold, because the app just loads your published site. The integrated backend keeps everything on Hostinger, while Supabase gives you more control and portability. Hostinger notes that a project built on an external backend cannot be moved to the integrated backend directly, so decide before you build if you can.

Do I need a separate domain for the app?

No. Use the domain that comes with your Hostinger plan or one you already own, ideally a subdomain such as app.yourdomain.com if the main domain is your marketing site. It must stay the same after launch, because the URL is compiled into the app.

Three ways to get your app into the stores
