Publish your Replit app in the App Store and on Google Play

One published Replit URL, two native apps. This overview compares what Apple and Google ask for, lists the Replit-specific details, and links to the detailed iOS and Android walkthroughs.

How it works

Publish in Replit

Open the Deploy pane and choose Autoscale (web apps with a backend), Static (front-end only) or Reserved VM. Replit builds the app and serves it at a replit.app address. Redeploy to push changes live.

Wrap with WebViewGold

Insert the URL into WebViewGold for iOS and WebViewGold for Android, set name, icon and splash screen, switch on the native features you want. No coding.

Submit with a guarantee

App Store & Google Play approval guarantee – or your money back within 14 days. 96.4% of all WebViewGold apps get approved by the review teams on the first attempt.

The plan for Replit apps

Do iOS and Android in parallel: both apps use the same URL and the same settings.

  1. Publish your Replit app on your own domain

In the deployment's Settings → Domains, link your own domain and add the DNS records Replit shows. The development preview (replit.dev addresses) sleeps when you close the workspace and is not meant for users. Always use a Deployment URL in the app.

  2. Fix the store blockers once

Privacy policy page, account deletion, responsive layout down to 320 px, no builder badges, HTTPS everywhere. Run the free readiness check to see what is missing.

  3. Configure WebViewGold for iOS and Android

Paste the URL, set app name, icon and splash screen in Config.swift and Config.java or in the Cloud Builder. Enable push notifications and the features you need.

  4. Build both apps

Xcode and Android Studio, or the Cloud Builder in the browser for both. The Cloud Builder also uploads to App Store Connect and the Play Console.

  5. Create both listings and submit

Same screenshots (per device size), same description, same privacy policy URL. Start the Google Play closed test the same day you submit to Apple so both reviews run in parallel.

Replit specifics

Stack

Often React + Express/Node or Python (Flask/FastAPI) with Replit's built-in Postgres (Neon) and Replit Auth

Authentication

Replit Auth, Supabase Auth or your own session logic. Google and Facebook logins need the WebViewGold Social Login Helper inside the app; Sign in with Apple is handled automatically.

Payments

Stripe. Digital goods sold inside the apps go through In-App Purchase / Google Play Billing (RevenueCat); physical goods keep your web checkout.

Domain

Default: yourproject.replit.app. In the deployment's Settings → Domains, link your own domain and add the DNS records Replit shows.

Updates

Redeploy and the app shows the new version instantly.

Badge

Made with Replit: If the Agent added a "Built with Replit" footer, ask it to remove it before you build the app.

Store-readiness prompt

Paste into Replit, review the changes, publish.

Prompt to paste into Replit Agent
Prepare this app for publishing as a native iOS and Android app (it will run inside a native WebView wrapper):
1. Add /privacy and /terms pages with editable placeholder text, linked from the footer and the settings page.
2. Add a "Delete account" action in settings that deletes the user's data and auth record, with a confirmation dialog.
3. Make every page responsive from 320px to tablet widths with no horizontal scrolling; tap targets at least 44px.
4. Remove any "Made with Replit" footer, "Get the app" banners and external links in the main navigation.
5. Show a retry message when a request fails instead of an empty page, and make the first paint fast (lazy-load heavy components).
6. Set the <title> to the app name (max 30 characters) and add a meta description.

Native features on both platforms

Documented for iOS and Android; the JavaScript calls are identical on both platforms.

Frequently asked questions

Can a Replit app go into the App Store and Google Play?

Yes. Create a Replit Deployment, insert its URL (or your custom domain) into WebViewGold and build the native apps. Replit keeps hosting the backend; WebViewGold provides the store-ready shell.

Which Replit deployment type should I use for an app?

Autoscale for apps with a backend, Static for pure front-ends. Reserved VM if you need always-on processes. The WebView does not care, it just needs a stable HTTPS URL.

Does the app break when a Replit deployment is updated?

No. Users get the new version on the next launch or navigation, exactly like a website visitor.

Should I launch on iOS and Android at the same time?

Yes, if you can. Both apps use the same web app, so the extra work is one more license and one more listing. Start the Google Play closed test early: for new personal accounts it takes 14 days before production is available.

Do I need two WebViewGold licenses?

Yes, one for iOS and one for Android. Each is a one-time payment with free updates, and the Full Service package covers both if you prefer our team to do everything.
