Example: from Rocket.new project to approved app

Say you designed a property listings site for a small real estate agency in Figma and turned it into a Next.js app with Rocket.new: listings, photo galleries, a map and an inquiry form backed by Supabase. You deploy, connect listings.yourdomain.com and wrap it with WebViewGold, adding push notifications for new listings in a saved search and the native share sheet so buyers can send a home to their partner. You retake the screenshots from the running app on an iPhone, because the Figma mockups show desktop layouts. Inquiries are for a real-world service, so no payment rules get in the way. Both stores approve the app, and when the designer updates a Figma frame, a Rocket redeploy brings it to every phone.

Your first week after launch

  • When a design changes in Figma, regenerate and redeploy through Rocket.new; the app follows the deployed URL, so no store update is needed.
  • Count the inquiries that come from the app (filter by the custom user agent you set in WebViewGold) to see whether the app brings better leads than the website.
  • Send a saved-search push only when a matching listing appears, so users keep notifications on.
  • Ask for a rating with rateapp:// after a user sends an inquiry, not when they first open the app.
  • If you ever move from Rocket hosting to Vercel or Netlify, take your custom domain with you; an app that points at a platform address needs a new build first.

Store-readiness prompt

Paste into Rocket.new, review the changes, publish.

Prompt to paste into Rocket.new
Prepare this app for publishing as a native iOS and Android app (it will run inside a native WebView wrapper): add /privacy and /terms pages linked from the footer; add a "Delete my account" action with confirmation; make all screens responsive from 320px to tablet widths with 44px tap targets and no horizontal scrolling; remove external promotional links and "Download our app" banners; add a retry state for failed requests; set the title to the app name (max 30 characters).

Frequently asked questions

Can I publish a Rocket.new app in the stores?

Yes. Publish or deploy the app to a public HTTPS URL, insert it into WebViewGold and submit the iOS and Android builds.

Rocket.new can build Flutter apps too. Should I start a Flutter project instead?

Rocket picks the framework when you create a task (Next.js for web, Flutter for mobile) and you cannot switch it later, so a Flutter app would be a second project to keep in sync with your web app. If your web app is done, wrapping it with WebViewGold ships both store apps from that one project; Flutter makes more sense if you have no web product at all.

Will the app look exactly like my Figma design?

It looks exactly like your deployed web app, because WebViewGold renders the same pages. The native shell adds the launch screen, the status bar color and safe-area handling around the notch, so check that fixed headers and bottom bars in your design leave room for them.
