Say you designed a guided journaling app in Tempo: a calm onboarding, daily prompts, mood charts and a Supabase backend, with a yearly plan sold through Polar on the web. You deploy to Vercel, connect your domain and wrap it with WebViewGold, adding Face ID through the biometric API so the journal stays private, plus a local reminder at the time each user picks. Can a Tempo app be published in the App Store and on Google Play?
Yes. Deploy to a public HTTPS URL, insert it into WebViewGold and submit the native builds.
Can I sell my Tempo app's subscription through Polar inside the app?
Not for digital content on iOS: Apple requires In-App Purchase for subscriptions and digital goods sold inside the app, and Google generally requires Play Billing. Keep Polar for your website, offer the same plan through RevenueCat in the apps, and check the current regional exceptions, such as the US rules for external purchase links.
Can my Tempo app have a native tab bar?
Yes. WebViewGold offers a native navigation footer on iOS (configured in a FooterBar.json file with SF Symbols) and a Material 3 bottom navigation footer plus a side drawer on Android, each linking to URLs of your web app. Hide your web tab bar inside the app with custom CSS so users do not see two.
