Emergent at a glance

What it is

Emergent is an agentic vibe-coding platform that builds and deploys full-stack apps from prompts. Founders who delegate whole builds to an agent and want to stay at the product level.

Stack

React front ends with FastAPI or Node backends and MongoDB, deployed from inside Emergent

Publishing and hosting

Use Deploy inside Emergent to publish the current build to a public URL. Redeploy to ship changes.

Authentication

Email/password or Google OAuth generated by the agent, or Supabase/Firebase integrations

Payments

Stripe

Builder badge

Made with Emergent: Ask the agent to remove any "Made with Emergent" badge or link before you build the app.

Example: from Emergent project to approved app

Say you asked Emergent for a neighborhood tool-lending app: people list a drill or a ladder, neighbors request it and both sides chat to arrange pickup, all on FastAPI and MongoDB. You deploy it, connect your domain and wrap the URL with WebViewGold, then ask the agent for a report button on listings and chats and a block option on profiles, because both stores require that for user-generated content. Push notifications tell owners when someone requests their tool, and the native camera upload lets them photograph items straight from the app. You give the reviewers two demo accounts so they can see both sides of a request. Both stores approve it, and later agent changes ship with a simple redeploy.

Your first week after launch

  • Check the report queue daily; reviewers and early users test whether reports actually lead to action.
  • Redeploy fixes from Emergent and open the live URL afterwards, because a failed deploy silently leaves the previous version online.
  • Send pushes only for events users care about (a request, a reply), not for marketing in week one.
  • Ask for a rating with rateapp:// after a completed lending, when both sides just had a good experience.
  • Note native-shell changes such as new permissions or a new icon and bundle them into one store update.

Store-readiness prompt

Paste into Emergent, review the changes, publish.

Prompt to paste into Emergent
Prepare this app for publishing as a native iOS and Android app (it will run inside a native WebView wrapper): add /privacy and /terms pages linked from the footer; add a "Delete my account" action with confirmation that removes the user's data; make every page responsive from 320px to tablet widths with 44px tap targets; ensure every API call uses HTTPS; remove any "Made with Emergent" badge and external promotional links; show a retry state on failed requests; set the title to the app name (max 30 characters).

What you get with WebViewGold

Frequently asked questions

Can an Emergent app be published in the App Store and Google Play?

Yes. Deploy the app to a public HTTPS URL, insert that URL into WebViewGold and submit the native builds. Updates stay instant because the app loads your deployment.

Emergent has a Mobile Agent that builds Expo apps. Should I use it instead?

It builds a separate React Native project, which makes sense for a mobile-first product. If your product already runs as a deployed Emergent web app, wrapping that deployment with WebViewGold keeps one codebase and one release process for web, iOS and Android, and you avoid spending credits to build and maintain the same features twice.

Do I have to mention MongoDB in the App Store privacy labels?

Not by name, but you must declare the data types your backend collects (contact info, user content, identifiers, location) and whether they are linked to the user. Go through your MongoDB collections one by one and match each field to Apple's App Privacy categories and Google's Data safety categories.
