Base44 + AdMob

Monetize your Base44 app with AdMob

Web ad networks pay little inside apps and often break in WebViews. WebViewGold integrates the native AdMob SDK: a banner below your Base44 app, interstitials after a number of interactions, and rewarded videos you trigger from JavaScript when the user wants extra credits or content.

From $109 one-time per platform, or let our team do it all from $698.

  • Approval guarantee – or money back within 14 days
  • No coding needed
  • One-time payment, free updates
  • 24/7 human support
  • Made in Germany since 2014 · ISO 27001

Three ad formats

Banner

A native banner anchored below your web content. Enable it with showBannerAd (iOS) / SHOW_BANNER_AD (Android) and paste your AdMob banner ID.

Interstitial

Full-screen ads after every X interactions (showadAfterX / SHOW_AD_AFTER_X). Keep X high enough that the app stays pleasant to use; reviewers dislike aggressive interstitials.

Rewarded

Trigger a rewarded video from your Base44 app with displayrewardedad:// and grant credits, hints or content in Base44 built-in entities (database), file storage and backend functions after the video completed.

Prompt for Base44

Paste this into Base44 to implement the web-app side. Review the result, publish, then test inside the WebViewGold app.

Prompt to paste into Base44
Add an optional rewarded-ad flow to this app. It only runs inside our native mobile app, so wrap everything in a check that navigator.userAgent contains "WebViewGold". On the credits page show a button "Watch a short ad for 3 credits"; on click navigate the window to 'displayrewardedad://'. Define a global function window.updateRewardedStatus(status): if status equals 'true', call a backend function named grantAdReward that adds 3 credits to the current user's record, then refresh the displayed balance. Add a line to the Privacy Policy page saying that the mobile app shows ads via Google AdMob. Do not show the ad button to accounts marked as minors or to signed-out visitors.

My iOS WebView is finally approved. Thanks!!

Set up AdMob for a Base44 app

About 30 minutes, mostly in the AdMob console.

  1. Create the AdMob apps and ad units

One AdMob app per platform, then a banner, interstitial and (optionally) rewarded ad unit each. Use test IDs while developing.

  2. Paste the IDs into WebViewGold

iOS: GADApplicationIdentifier in Info.plist, AdmobBannerID and AdmobinterstitialID in Config.swift. Android: the equivalents in Config.java and the manifest. The Cloud Builder has fields for all of them.

  3. Control ads from your web app

Switch ads off for paying users with disableads:// and on again with enableads://, for example after a subscription purchase stored in Base44 built-in entities (database), file storage and backend functions.

  4. Add App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

Personalized ads need the ATT prompt; WebViewGold shows it and exposes the decision to your web app (trackingDisabled). Declare "Advertising data" and tracking in App Privacy.

  5. Complete the store declarations

Google Play: ads declaration = yes, Data safety with advertising IDs, content rating with ads. Apple: App Privacy with advertising data and the ATT answer.

Rules that get ad apps rejected

  • Ads that cover content or appear before the app is usable (both stores).
  • Ads in apps for children without the family-friendly ad settings.
  • Rewarded ads that promise something the app does not deliver (Guideline 2.3).
  • Personalized ads on iOS without the ATT prompt (Guideline 5.1.2).

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Google AdSense inside the app instead?

AdSense is made for websites and its policies do not cover apps; many publishers see it disabled in WebViews. AdMob is the app product and is what WebViewGold integrates natively.

Does AdMob work with in-app purchases?

Yes, a common model: ads for free users, disableads:// after the RevenueCat purchase event reaches Base44 built-in entities (database), file storage and backend functions and the web app knows the user is premium.

Is Facebook Audience Network supported too?

Yes, WebViewGold also integrates Facebook (Meta) Audience Network banners and interstitials; the setup is documented separately.

Three ways to get your app into the stores

Same result, different amount of work on your side. All three come with the approval guarantee and 24/7 human support.
