One codebase, real store app
The Android app loads your published Windsurf URL inside a native WebView. There is no second project to maintain and no code export.
Windsurf → Google Play
Windsurf is Devin Desktop now. Your deployed web app is still an afternoon away from a native app. Your Windsurf app already runs in the browser. WebViewGold wraps the published URL in a native Android app shell, adds push notifications and other native features, and backs the submission with a Google Play approval guarantee. You keep building in Windsurf; every publish updates the app instantly.
From $109 one-time per platform, or let our team do it all from $698.
Windsurf, now called Devin Desktop, builds whatever web stack you choose, and because the one-click Netlify App Deploys belong to the legacy Cascade agent, the dependable route is a Git deployment to Netlify, Vercel or Cloudflare Pages. That production URL is all WebViewGold needs. Wrapping it keeps the agent (now Devin Local) as your only development loop; a second native project would mean asking it to maintain two implementations of every feature. Add native capabilities through WebViewGold's JavaScript bridge, describe them in a .devin/rules/ file and keep deploying as usual.
The Android app loads your published Windsurf URL inside a native WebView. There is no second project to maintain and no code export.
Deploy and the app updates instantly. Only changes to the native shell itself (icon, new native feature) need a store update.
Push notifications, offline screen, native sharing, biometric login, QR scanner, in-app purchases and deep links are single settings or one-line JavaScript calls.
Google Play Store approval guarantee – or your money back within 14 days. 96.4% of all WebViewGold apps get approved by the review teams on the first attempt.

WebViewGold has allowed us the shortest and most efficient time-to-market ever possible from among all the other app platforms we have ever tried during the past 5 years. I don’t know why I hadn’t discovered you sooner, but I am really, really glad I did. Currently nearing 6000 app downloads on both iOS App Store & Google Play Store without any problem!
Eight steps, no coding. Most people finish the native part in under an hour.
Push the project to GitHub and deploy it with Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages or your own host, then insert the production URL or your domain into WebViewGold. The one-click Netlify App Deploys belong to the legacy Cascade agent, are not available with Devin Local (the default agent in Devin Desktop) and were meant mainly for previews, so do not build a store app on them. localhost and tunnel URLs are for development only. Deploy first. Custom domain: Add your domain in the domain settings of your host (Netlify, Vercel or Cloudflare Pages). See why a custom domain before submission is worth it.
Add a privacy policy page, an account deletion option (if users can sign up), and remove builder badges or "download our app" banners. Run the free Google Play readiness check on your URL: it flags mixed content, missing viewport tags, builder preview domains and other blockers in seconds.
One-time payment, free updates. You receive the ready-made Android Studio project, or activate the WebViewGold Cloud Builder and skip the IDE entirely.
Open Config.java (or the Cloud Builder form), paste your published URL, set the app name, choose your package name, upload the icon and pick the splash screen. No coding needed.
Enable push notifications, the offline screen, pull-to-refresh, biometric login, the QR scanner or App Links with single settings. Everything is optional.
In Android Studio: Build → Generate Signed Bundle. In the Cloud Builder: click Build and the signed .aab is prepared and uploaded for you.
Create the app in the Play Console, fill in the store listing, upload icon, feature graphic and screenshots, complete Data safety, content rating and app access.
New personal accounts run a 14-day closed test with 12 testers first. Then promote the release to production and submit for review. Our approval guarantee covers you.
These are the points that come up most often with Windsurf projects (Any web stack, deployed through Git to Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages or your own host).
Paste this into Windsurf and let it apply the changes reviewers look for. Review the result, then publish.
Audit and prepare this web app for publishing as a native iOS and Android app (it will run inside a native WebView wrapper): ensure a meta viewport tag, no horizontal overflow from 320px up, 44px tap targets and safe-area-inset padding on fixed bars; add /privacy and /terms pages linked from the footer; add a "Delete account" action with confirmation; remove "Download our app" banners and external promotional links; add retry states for failed requests; set the <title> to the app name (max 30 characters). Report every change.
Google reviews behavior, not tooling. Nobody is rejected for using Windsurf; apps are rejected for the points below.
Google rejects apps that only wrap a website without the website owner's permission or that offer no real functionality. Wrapping your own product with added native features is fine.
Every app needs a privacy policy URL and a completed Data safety form that lists what the app and its SDKs collect.
Apps that let users create accounts must offer account deletion inside the app and via a web link you provide in the Play Console.
Personal accounts created after November 2023 must run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 continuous days before they can request production access.
New apps must target a recent Android version. WebViewGold updates keep the template current; just build with the latest version.
Digital goods and subscriptions sold in the app generally must use Google Play Billing (WebViewGold supports RevenueCat). Physical goods and services may use other payment methods.
Every feature is optional and documented step by step in the WebViewGold for Android documentation.
Remote push via OneSignal or Pushwoosh, local scheduled pushes via a JavaScript call.
Documentationhttps links to your domain and custom schemes open directly in the app.
DocumentationGoogle Play subscriptions and one-time purchases via RevenueCat, triggered from your web app.
DocumentationA native "Try again" screen when the user is offline, or a local HTML fallback.
DocumentationMinimum and maximum splash duration with fade-out, or a native spinner while loading.
DocumentationFingerprint / face unlock gate from a JavaScript call.
DocumentationNative scanner that returns the result to your web app.
DocumentationShare intent and haptic feedback from your web app.
DocumentationHide website-only elements and inject code when loaded inside the app.
DocumentationNative file picker and camera for your upload forms.
DocumentationEach guide shows the exact setup for your Windsurf stack, with a prompt you can paste.
Tick these off and the review is a formality. The free readiness check verifies the technical half automatically.
Say you built an expense tracker for contractors in Devin Desktop: users photograph receipts, tag them by job and export a monthly report, with Supabase behind a React front end. You push the repository to GitHub, connect it to your own Netlify account, add your domain and wrap it with WebViewGold, switching on the document scanner so a receipt scan becomes a clean upload on iPhone and Android. The monthly PDF report downloads through WebViewGold's file downloader, ready to send to the accountant. Devin Local adds a /privacy page and an account deletion flow before submission. Both stores approve the app, and every push to the main branch puts new features live in the app.
A complete native app project, not a subscription. Everything below is included in the license and switched on with a setting.
Deploy it to a public HTTPS URL, insert the URL into WebViewGold for iOS and Android, build (Xcode/Android Studio or the Cloud Builder) and submit. The same applies to apps built in Devin Desktop, the new name of Windsurf.
Not for the app itself: the rename on June 2, 2026 changed the editor, not your deployed web app or the URL inside WebViewGold. Your existing Windsurf rules keep working, .devin/rules/ is the preferred place for new ones, and Devin Local has replaced the legacy Cascade agent. Check how you deploy: if you relied on Cascade's one-click Netlify deploys, switch to a Git-based deployment on your own Netlify, Vercel or Cloudflare account and keep that production URL in the app.
Either Android Studio (free, runs on Windows, macOS and Linux) or the WebViewGold Cloud Builder, which builds and uploads the signed App Bundle from your browser.
Google requires personal developer accounts created after November 2023 to run a closed test with at least 12 opted-in testers for 14 continuous days before the first production release. Friends, colleagues or a Discord community are enough; organization accounts are exempt.
Google names the policy in question and you can fix and resubmit. WebViewGold comes with a Google Play approval guarantee: if Google rejects the app for a non-content reason, you get your money back within 14 days of purchase.
Better not. That address comes from Cascade's one-click App Deploys, which were meant for previews, are not available with Devin Local in Devin Desktop, and can be removed after a short time if the site is never claimed into your own Netlify account. Push the project to GitHub, connect it to Netlify, Vercel or Cloudflare Pages, add a custom domain and use that address in WebViewGold, so the app never depends on a temporary deployment.
Yes. WebViewGold adds a native document scanner to the regular file upload: on iOS it uses Apple's VisionKit, on Android Google's ML Kit, which returns a PDF. Your web app keeps using a normal file input, so Devin Local does not need to write any native code.
No. The app loads your published URL, so content and feature changes you publish in Windsurf are live in the app immediately. A new store version is only needed when the native shell changes, for example a new app icon or an added native feature.
