v0 → Google Play

Turn your v0 app into an Android app and publish it on Google Play

Your Next.js app already runs on Vercel. Let it run on iPhones and Android phones too. Your v0 app already runs in the browser. WebViewGold wraps the published URL in a native Android app shell, adds push notifications and other native features, and backs the submission with a Google Play approval guarantee. You keep building in v0; every publish updates the app instantly.

From $109 one-time per platform, or let our team do it all from $698.

  • Approval guarantee – or money back within 14 days
  • No coding needed
  • One-time payment, free updates
  • 24/7 human support
  • Made in Germany since 2014 · ISO 27001

Why wrapping beats rebuilding for v0 apps

v0 produces Next.js apps for Vercel and nothing for the app stores, and rewriting server components, route handlers and Auth.js flows in Swift and Kotlin would throw away what makes the project fast to change. WebViewGold loads your production vercel.app URL or custom domain, so server-side rendering, middleware and every new Vercel deployment keep working inside the native app. Keep the production deployment public (no deployment protection) and the app always shows the latest build.

One codebase, real store app

The Android app loads your published v0 URL inside a native WebView. There is no second project to maintain and no code export.

Keep shipping from v0

Every Vercel production deployment updates the app content instantly. Only changes to the native shell itself (icon, new native feature) need a store update.

Native features on top

Push notifications, offline screen, native sharing, biometric login, QR scanner, in-app purchases and deep links are single settings or one-line JavaScript calls.

Google Play approval guarantee

Google Play Store approval guarantee – or your money back within 14 days. 96.4% of all WebViewGold apps get approved by the review teams on the first attempt.

What you need

  • A published v0 app on a public HTTPS URL (yourproject.vercel.app or, better, your own domain)
  • An Google Play Console developer account ($25 one-time) to submit to the Google Play Store
  • Android Studio on Windows, macOS or Linux – or the WebViewGold Cloud Builder in your browser
  • WebViewGold for Android ($109 one-time, free updates)
  • A privacy policy page, a 1024 × 1024 px icon and 30 to 60 minutes

Great way of converting your web app to a native app! Fast turn-around, and a great way to get your apps into the app stores without the need to develop a full native app!

v0 to Google Play: the walkthrough

Eight steps, no coding. Most people finish the native part in under an hour.

  1. Publish your v0 app to a production URL

Click Deploy in v0. The project is pushed to a Vercel project and served at a vercel.app address. Each new deployment becomes the production version automatically. v0 preview and Vercel preview deployments (long random vercel.app addresses) are not production. Use the production domain or your custom domain in the app. Custom domain: In the Vercel dashboard open the project → Settings → Domains, add your domain and set the DNS records Vercel displays. See why a custom domain before submission is worth it.

  2. Make it store-ready

Add a privacy policy page, an account deletion option (if users can sign up), and remove builder badges or "download our app" banners. Run the free Google Play readiness check on your URL: it flags mixed content, missing viewport tags, builder preview domains and other blockers in seconds.

  3. Get WebViewGold for Android

One-time payment, free updates. You receive the ready-made Android Studio project, or activate the WebViewGold Cloud Builder and skip the IDE entirely.

  4. Insert your URL and brand the app

Open Config.java (or the Cloud Builder form), paste your published URL, set the app name, choose your package name, upload the icon and pick the splash screen. No coding needed.

  5. Switch on native features

Enable push notifications, the offline screen, pull-to-refresh, biometric login, the QR scanner or App Links with single settings. Everything is optional.

  6. Build the signed App Bundle

In Android Studio: Build → Generate Signed Bundle. In the Cloud Builder: click Build and the signed .aab is prepared and uploaded for you.

  7. Create the Play Console listing

Create the app in the Play Console, fill in the store listing, upload icon, feature graphic and screenshots, complete Data safety, content rating and app access.

  8. Test, then submit

New personal accounts run a 14-day closed test with 12 testers first. Then promote the release to production and submit for review. Our approval guarantee covers you.

v0-specific checks before you submit

These are the points that come up most often with v0 projects (Next.js (App Router), React, Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui, deployed on Vercel; data via Supabase, Neon or Vercel integrations).

  • Vercel deployment protection (password or Vercel authentication) blocks the WebView. Keep the production deployment public or the app shows a login wall.
  • If v0 added "Deploy with Vercel" or "Built with v0" links, remove them: links that promote another platform inside a store app are a common review remark.
  • Server components render fast, but check the Time To First Byte of your production URL. WebViewGold's splash screen covers the initial load.
  • Third-party OAuth (Google, GitHub) in a WebView needs WebViewGold's Social Login Helper; Sign in with Apple is handled automatically.
  • Both stores need a privacy policy URL: add an app/privacy/page.tsx route.

Let v0 do the store-readiness work

Paste this into v0 and let it apply the changes reviewers look for. Review the result, then publish.

Prompt to paste into v0
Prepare this Next.js app for publishing as a native iOS and Android app (it will run inside a native WebView wrapper):
1. Add /privacy and /terms routes with editable placeholder content and link them from the footer.
2. Add a "Delete account" button in settings that deletes the user's data and account on the server, with a confirmation dialog.
3. Ensure all pages are responsive from 320px up to tablet widths with no horizontal overflow; tap targets at least 44px.
4. Remove any "Built with v0" or "Deploy with Vercel" badges and links, plus any external links in the main navigation.
5. Add an error boundary and a retry UI for failed data fetches.
6. Set metadata.title to the app name (max 30 characters) and add a description.

Google Play review: the rules that matter for v0 apps

Google reviews behavior, not tooling. Nobody is rejected for using v0; apps are rejected for the points below.

  • Minimum functionality

    Spam and minimum functionality policy

Google rejects apps that only wrap a website without the website owner's permission or that offer no real functionality. Wrapping your own product with added native features is fine.

  • Data safety

    User Data policy

Every app needs a privacy policy URL and a completed Data safety form that lists what the app and its SDKs collect.

  • Account deletion

    User Data policy

Apps that let users create accounts must offer account deletion inside the app and via a web link you provide in the Play Console.

  • Testing requirement

    Personal developer accounts

Personal accounts created after November 2023 must run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 continuous days before they can request production access.

  • Target API level

    Target API requirements

New apps must target a recent Android version. WebViewGold updates keep the template current; just build with the latest version.

  • Payments

    Google Play Billing

Digital goods and subscriptions sold in the app generally must use Google Play Billing (WebViewGold supports RevenueCat). Physical goods and services may use other payment methods.

Native features your v0 app gets in the Android app

Every feature is optional and documented step by step in the WebViewGold for Android documentation.

Pre-flight checklist for Google Play

Tick these off and the review is a formality. The free readiness check verifies the technical half automatically.

  • HTTPS everywhere: Android blocks cleartext http:// traffic by default on current versions.
  • Responsive layout from 320 px to tablet widths, with predictable back-button behavior (WebViewGold maps the back button to the web history).
  • Privacy policy URL ready and the Data safety form answered truthfully.
  • Account deletion inside the app plus a web deletion link if users can sign up.
  • App access credentials for the reviewer if content is behind a login.
  • A unique package name (for example com.yourcompany.yourapp) set before the first upload: it can never change afterwards.
  • A 512 × 512 px icon and a 1024 × 500 px feature graphic.
  • At least two phone screenshots taken from the real app (tablet screenshots recommended).
  • For new personal accounts: 12 testers lined up for the 14-day closed test.
  • Signed Android App Bundle (.aab) built from the latest WebViewGold version.

Example: from v0 project to approved app

Say you built a storefront for a small specialty coffee roaster with v0: Next.js product pages, a Stripe checkout for beans and grinders, and a Supabase table for order history. You deploy to Vercel, connect shop.yourdomain.com and wrap that domain with WebViewGold for iOS and Android. Because the shop sells physical goods, Stripe checkout is allowed in both apps and no In-App Purchase is needed. You add push notifications for restocks of limited roasts and the native share sheet so customers can send a coffee to a friend, giving the app more than the website offers. After approval, every Vercel production deployment updates the shop in both apps within minutes.

Your first week after launch

  • Ship fixes through a normal Vercel production deployment, and check that it was promoted to production rather than left as a preview.
  • Treat Vercel's deployment history as your rollback button: if a release breaks something, promote the previous deployment and every installed app recovers on its next launch.
  • Send the first push for a real reason (a restock, a feature people asked for) with a link to that exact page.
  • Use getappversion:// in your Next.js layout to read the installed app version, so you can show an update hint once you ship a new native build.
  • Ask for a rating with rateapp:// after a completed order or a second visit, not on first launch.

What you get with WebViewGold

A complete native app project, not a subscription. Everything below is included in the license and switched on with a setting.

  • Complete Android Studio project
  • Push notifications
  • Offline screen
  • App icon & splash screen
  • Share sheet & haptics
  • Deep & universal links
  • In-app purchases
  • Free updates, white-label

Frequently asked questions

Can I publish a v0 app to the App Store?

Yes. Deploy the v0 project to Vercel, make sure the production URL is public, insert it into WebViewGold for iOS and submit the built app to App Store Connect. The same URL powers the Android app.

Does Next.js server-side rendering work inside the app?

Yes. The WebView requests pages like a mobile browser does, so server components, route handlers and middleware behave exactly as on vercel.app.

Can I keep shipping with v0 after the app is live?

Yes. The app loads your production URL, so each new Vercel deployment is live in the app without a store update.

Do I need Android Studio?

Either Android Studio (free, runs on Windows, macOS and Linux) or the WebViewGold Cloud Builder, which builds and uploads the signed App Bundle from your browser.

What is the 12-tester rule?

Google requires personal developer accounts created after November 2023 to run a closed test with at least 12 opted-in testers for 14 continuous days before the first production release. Friends, colleagues or a Discord community are enough; organization accounts are exempt.

What if Google rejects the app?

Google names the policy in question and you can fix and resubmit. WebViewGold comes with a Google Play approval guarantee: if Google rejects the app for a non-content reason, you get your money back within 14 days of purchase.

Which Vercel URL do I put into the app?

Your production domain: either the stable yourproject.vercel.app address or, better, your own custom domain. Never use the long unique URL of a single deployment or a preview branch; those can be protected by Vercel and point to a frozen build, so the app would not update when you deploy again.

Do I need a paid Vercel plan for a store app?

WebViewGold works with any public HTTPS URL, so technically no. Vercel's Hobby plan, however, is meant for personal, non-commercial use, so if the app earns money or represents a business, move the project to a Pro plan before launch and connect a custom domain at the same time.

Do I have to resubmit the app every time I change something in v0?

No. The app loads your published URL, so content and feature changes you publish in v0 are live in the app immediately. A new store version is only needed when the native shell changes, for example a new app icon or an added native feature.

What does it cost in total?

$109 one-time for WebViewGold for Android (free updates) plus the Google Play Console developer account ($25 one-time). Optional: the Cloud Builder add-on ($349 per license, one-time) if you want to build in the browser without a Mac, or the Full Service package (from $698 per platform) where our team configures, builds and submits the app for you.
